Doing Business in the United Arab Emirates: Fourth Edition

The U.S.-U.A.E. Business Council is pleased to release the fourth edition of its report, “Doing Business in the United Arab Emirates”, published in collaboration with Founding Business Council member Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP.

The U.A.E. recently announced plans to institute 50 new economic initiatives, known as the ‘Projects of the 50,’ to advance economic competitiveness and boost foreign direct investment. The “Projects of the 50” are the latest in a series of significant economic and social reforms the U.A.E. has introduced since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic that have solidified the country’s standing as the region’s premier trade and business hub. Moreover, they built on many years of previous U.A.E. initiatives to diversify away from an oil-based economy and accelerate the development of a future-forward, knowledge-based economy.

This updated report thereby highlights the U.A.E.’s continued commitment to remaining a progressive nation not only among its peers in the MENA region, but also on the global stage. Moreover, it illustrates why, in an increasingly competitive regional environment, the U.A.E. will continue to expand its reach as a global hub for trade and business for the foreseeable future.
