U.S. Consul General-Designate in Dubai Meghan Gregonis met with key members of the U.S. business community during a private dinner hosted by the U.S.-U.A.E. Business Council at the Ritz Carlton DIFC on September 2nd.

U.S.-U.A.E. Business Council President Danny Sebright convened leading business executives from 20 U.S. companies with a presence in Dubai to welcome Consul General-Designate Gregonis to the U.A.E. and to share insights on the local business environment.

Consul General-Designate Gregonis, who most recently served as U.S. Consul General in Munich, engaged with the U.S. business community and told them about her priorities for her new job as well as preparations for Expo 2020, the world’s greatest show. The Expo will be held  from 1 October 2021 to 31 March 2022 and will provide a platform for U.S. businesses to connect with visitors from around the world.

This event continues the Business Council’s longstanding tradition of welcoming new Consul Generals and Ambassadors to the U.A.E.

The dinner heralds the Business Council’s return to in-person events in both countries, and kicks off a very busy and packed schedule of fall programming.
